Who am I?
Hi, my name is Beth!
In 2018 I signed up for a 3-year full time degree studying Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine and I completed with a 1st class honours - I loved every minute of it!
I very quickly realised that acupuncture had a positive effect on a person’s mental health and wellbeing, regardless of their reason for booking an appointment at the clinic. This led me to enrol onto a master’s degree in Health, Mental Health and Wellbeing, which I completed in 2022.
I hope this website answers any questions you may have about acupuncture, but if not please don’t hesitate to get in touch – I LOVE talking about it!
About Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a form of healthcare that originated in ancient China some 2,500 years ago, which is now widely practiced across the world. The focus is on the whole individual rather than on a single ailment, since the emotional, mental, and physical aspects of a person are understood to be interconnected.
It is a holistic form of treatment and may also include using techniques such as moxibustion, cupping, and electro acupuncture, but treatment predominantly involves the insertion of fine, single-use, disposable needles under the skin.
Before any course of acupuncture I will conduct a full medical history. In addition to this, I may use other Traditional Chinese diagnostic techniques such as taking your pulse and looking at your tongue. This provides me with the information I need to create an effective treatment plan that is tailored just for you, with the aim of improving mind, body and spirit.
